Fall/Winter 2009 Collection Preview #3!

Here's the latest sneak peek from my soon-to-be-released Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. I'm really excited about the collection & dying to get it out into the world. This one's called Cabernet & Roses because the Ruby & Garnet gems totally put me in the mood to sit in a rose garden & drink a lot of red wine.

I've been crazily working on the Fall/Winter 2009 collection all weekend and it's almost, almost done. I'm so close. My husband snapped this photo during one of my breaks. I think there are earrings in here somewhere...

New Necklace!

Here's a new necklace for this week!
I love just love the classic simplicity of this necklace! The main pendant is a large, AAA, heirloom-quality London Blue Topaz gem. It's crystal clear and just beautiful. Above it, I've hand-wrapped delicate, deep blue Apatite gemstones to create a shimmering ring. And to top it all off, I've also added a braided Sterling Silver Ring to allow the pendant to move freely on the chain.
Necklace measures 17 inches and the pendant adds another 2 3/4 inch.

Peridot!

Since Peridot is August's birthstone, I thought I'd root around for some quick facts about the "emerald of the evening." * Peridot is the one of the very few gemstones that occur in a single color. * The green color is caused by traces of iron. * 80% - 95% of all Peridot production comes from Arizona, USA. I'm a big fan of the gem myself. I just bought the gorgeous strand you see here at a Santa Monica, CA bead show. I wonder what I'll make...

Necklace of the Month Club - August 2009

This necklace puts me in the mood for champagne and cake on Sunday afternoon! Here I've dangled wonderful candy colored stones from a playful Vermeil bubble pendant. The main gem is a gorgeous AAA, heirloom quality Lemon Citrine teardrop and the bubbles are Pink Topaz, green Peridot, red Garnet, purple Amethyst & olive Jade gemstones. Everyone needs a little cake and bubbly. See more pictures here.
