Sapphire!

Since Sapphire is September's birthstone, I thought I'd root around for some quick facts. * Ancient civilizations believed that the world was set upon a giant Sapphire. * Princess Diana's engagement ring from Charles was set with a Sapphire gem. * Sapphires occur in many other shades besides the traditional blue including pink, yellow and green. I'm a big fan of the pink variety myself. Here's a Pink Sapphire & Garnet Lariat necklace I made earlier in the year.

This one's called Cabernet & Roses because the Ruby & Garnet gems totally put me in the mood to sit in a rose garden & drink a lot of red wine.
